Once you have taken a call and identified the call is to be transferred: - Press the **xfer** softkey\\ //This will place the caller on hold// - Dial the //target extension number// - Press **dial** softkey - When the target extension answers, consult if he/she wishes to take the call - If the call is to be transferred press **xfer** softkey to complete the transfer - If the call is //not// to be transferred simply press the **cancel** softkey\\ //The caller will be taken off hold and the call will resume// ==== Blind Transfer ==== A **blind transfer**, also called an **unattended transfer**, is when you perform a call transfer without consulting with the target extension first.
