It runs on Windows and Linux. Ekiga can be downloaded from the [[http://www.ekiga.org/|Ekiga]] website, or if running Linux, it may be available in the repository by searching in the Software Management tool. Installing Ekiga is straight-forward, simply double-click the file once you have downloaded it and follow the on-screen instructions, or search in the Software Management tool on Linux, and it will be automatically downloaded and installed. ===== Account Configuration ===== When you first run Ekiga, you will need to set it up to use your VoIP service. {{:ekiga-start.png|}} Click on **Edit** then **Account**. You should see this screen appear. {{:ekiga-accounts-empty.png|}} Click **Accounts** then **Add a SIP Account** {{ekiga-sip-as-provided.png|}} Fill out the following fields: * Name * Registrar * User * Authentication User * Password The User and Authentication User should be identical. Everything else should be left as default. Click **OK** and begin making calls. ===== Troubleshooting ===== If calls do not work, check that the User Password and Registrar have been entered correctly.
