How to Set Up the Grandstream GXP2160

The Grandstream GXP2160 is an enterprise SIP telephone with support for up to four lines, dual ethernet ports and can be configured through the built in web configuration page.

This guide has been written for the Grandstream GXP2160 but should also apply for similar models.

Configuration

  1. Once the phone has powered up, press the menu button and go to Status then Network Status.
    The Menu button is the button in the centre of the arrow keys.

    The default username and password is admin if it has not already been changed.

  2. Now go to the Account 1 General settings.

  3. Fill out your provided SIP details as below.
    Your details can be found in your Welcome Pack.


Troubleshooting

If the phone will not register, check over the account info page for anything that may be mistyped.

Ensure that:

Ensure SIP ALG is disabled on your router. See this page for further information.

Your firewall is not preventing your phone from reaching the internet. Please refer to the NAT and Firewall settings page.
