How to Transfer a Call on Yealink T2 Series and T4 Series Handset
This guide explains how to transfer a phone call on the following handset models:
- Yealink T19P (including T19P E2)
- Yealink T20P
- Yealink T21P (including T21P E2)
- Yealink T22P
- Yealink T23G
- Yealink T26P
- Yealink T27P
- Yealink T27G
- Yealink T28P
- Yealink T29G
- Yealink T40P
- Yealink T41P
- Yealink T42P
- Yealink T46G
- Yealink T48G
Attended Transfer
An attended transfer is when you perform a call transfer and consult if the target person wishes to accept the call.
Once you have taken a call and identified the call is to be transferred:
- Press the Tran softkey1)
This will place the caller on hold
On the Yealink T4 handsets this will appear as the Transfer softkey - Dial the target extension number
- Press # SEND on the keypad
- When the target extension answers, consult if he/she wishes to take the call
- If the call is to be transferred press Tran to complete the transfer2)
- If the call is not to be transferred
- Press Cancel The caller will remain on hold
- Press Resume to take caller off hold and resume call
Blind Transfer
A blind transfer, also called an unattended transfer, is when you perform a call transfer without consulting with the target extension first.
Once you have taken a call and identified the call is to be transferred:
- Press the Tran softkey3)
This will place the caller on hold
On the Yealink T4 handsets this will appear as the Transfer softkey - Dial the target extension number
- Immediately press the Tran softkey to complete the transfer4)
When the recipient extension answers they will be speaking with the caller straight away
