How to Set Up the Cisco Unified IP Phone 7900 Series

This guide is relevant to the Cisco 7940 and Cisco 7960 Series IP Phones.

Use of the example configuration files below is entirely at your own risk.

If you use the below examples, please be sure to modify the usernames, passwords, proxy names etc as appropriate.

You will need to put these into a TFTP server ,and enable “Option 66” or TFTP Address on DHCP for this to succeed.

Rename the MAC file to your phone's MAC address. What is in the MAC file over-rides the SIPDefault file.
