Password Best Practices for Account Security
- Passwords must be a minimum of twelve (12) characters in length. Anything less is considered insecure
- Ideally make the password at least fifteen (15) characters in length
- Do not write down the password where it is easily accessed (such as a sticky note on your monitor)
- The password should contain at least one (1) Uppercase letter (A-Z), and a symbol if possible, such as (~`!@#$%^&*()+=_-{}[]\
- Do not share the Password with anyone else
- Where you need to share your username and password then only do so with trusted individuals
- Bear in mind that account security is ultimately your responsibility
- Do not make it a memorable word or the same as email/login
- Avoid using the same password as you do for other websites
- Use a password manager which automatically generates and stores a unique password for each website you use
- SureVoIP will never ask for you for your password.
- If you think your password might be compromised please change it immediately and contact SureVoIP Support
