How to Set Up the Panasonic KX-TGP500 Series IP Handset

The Panasonic TGP500 is a WiFi SIP telephone that can be configured through the built in web configuration page.

Once the phone has powered up, obtain the phone's IP address by going to the menu, IP Service, Network Settings and IP Settings. Note the IP Address.
Enable the web configuration server by going to the menu, IP Service, Network Settings, Embedded Web and select On.
The default username is admin and password is adminpass if it has not already been changed.
Go to the VoIP tab at the top, then go to Line 1 under SIP Settings.
Fill out the details as follows:-
- Phone Number should be your phone number
- Line ID should be your auth ID
- Registrar Server Address should be the registrar server as provided to you
- Proxy Server Address is usually the same as the registrar server address
- Account Name can be set to your name or company name.
- Authentication ID should be set to your account auth ID, which will be provided in your welcome email.
- Authentication Password will be your SIP password provided in your welcome email. Sometimes referred to as a secret
- Leave everything else as default.

Scroll down to the bottom and click Save then reboot the phone.

If the phone will not register, check over the account info page for anything that may be mistyped.

Ensure that:

Your firewall is not preventing your phone from reaching the internet. Please refer to the NAT and Firewall settings page.
