Porting FAQ

We can port from BT, TalkTalk, Sky, Vodafone (Cable and Wireless), Virgin Media and many VoIP providers, including Gamma, Gradwell, Voipfone, Andrews & Arnold, RingCentral, Skype and many more.

We can port geographic 01 and 02 numbers and also non-geographic 03 and 08 numbers.

It can take 5 - 10 working days for single line numbers or 10 to 27 working days for multi line geographic numbers, depending on the complexity.

Non-geographic numbers beginning 03 and 08 can take 17 to 27 working days, depending on how many resellers are involved in providing your number.

Port activations take place at 10:00 for geographic single line numbers, and between 10:00 and 13:00 for multi line numbers.

Non-geographic numbers can activate just after midnight on the porting date or between 10:00 and 13:00 on the port date, depending on the current provider. We will advise you when you should expect activation.

Your number will remain in service with your current provider until the porting time and is an instant switch-over.

However, we can make no guarantee as rarely the numbers may be out of service for 1 or 2 minutes while the number port is activated. However this is very rare.

You will need to fully cease RedCare or transfer it to another line.
